Now I will start off by saying that I am not a football fan by any means. But the thought I had today involves football in a way.

Success as a Christian is not always found in a win over a loss, but on how the game is played.

Now don’t get me wrong, football is a competitive sport and you want to win. But what if we all went into the game with every player focusing on doing their utmost best, rather than focus on the win. If everyone on the team did their best, success is inevitable. Maybe not a win, but knowing that everyone did well in the game is all any coach could ask for.

We are not promised a life of constant winning. But we are promised praise and rewards for our efforts in the Christian life, especially when we are doing what God has guided us to do. If God wants you in the game and you do your best, even if you don’t win, he wili be proud of you and see your hard work as a success.
