Sometimes the paths we find ourselves traveling on seem to be lost in a dense fog of the unknown. No matter which way you look there is no clear path on which to travel. Life throws you through one struggle after another and there never seems to be a simple answer to all of your questions. At times, life can feel hopeless or without purpose, but that is when we need to trust your Engineer to guide your way.

How can the engineer help against a think fog? Does he have eyes that can pierce the unknown? Does he magically just know the way? In truth, the engineer is always prepare for whatever may come in the way of your train.

All trains have something called a “Fog Pass Device”. It is like a superhero tool for trains, that helps the engineer navigate through foggy weather without major disruptions. Think of it as a GPS guide for train drivers during fog. These devices give real-time information about important stuff like signals, crossings, and speed limits. All the engineer needs to do is be wise, pull out that device and use it in guiding his train through what could be very dangerous, to safety.

Like I said in the past, if we let God be the engineer of our train then He can guide it safely through any foggy moments. Our burdens, pains, and worries do not stump him or cause him to waver from the correct track. If we trust in Him he will provide us the way out.

Proverbs 1:33 – But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

A lot of times, the devil will try to make your lives a giant fog. He wants you to feel lost or without purpose, that way you don’t feel worth or capable of serving God. But our engineer warns us of this very thing.

1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Even though we can’t always see clearly through the window life, we need to remember that God is guiding our train and the devil can’t do anything about it. He may through difficult thoughts and troubling scenarios in our path trying to trip us up or cause us to go off our rails, but God is ready with his Fog Pass and will confidently help us stay on track.

Fog doesn’t last forever, and neither does those crazy moments in life that are cloudy. The key is, who are you trusting in to get you through the think fog of those moments.
