I know that this is everyone’s favorite place to visit. Right?

“No, abslutely not.”

Even though it isn’t our favorite place to go, it is still a place we need to frequent for our health. Sometimes in our Christian life we have places or times like going to a dentist, but we need to keep going to them because it helps us. At the moment in that dentist chair, we don’t want to be there but after you learn that what the dentist did prevent a major problem you are thankful you went. It is the same when you find yourself in your pastor’s office getting in trouble. You didn’t want to be there hearing about what you did wrong, but when you are an adult you are greatful that you had a loving pastor that was willing to point out the error of your ways early on. It preventing you from making more bad choices which could have lead you away from God and the church, like some of your childhood friends.

Sometimes, that small temperary pain prevents a future of more pain and discomfort.
