Growing up, I thought those people that worked with the sound equipment at church were so cool. There were nobs and buttons for everything and they always knew exactly which ones to push at the right times. I wasn’t allowed in the sound booth by myself, because they had everything set up a certain way for whatever event was happening and didn’t want anything accidently messed up. But I loved simply watching them make the stage colorful with lights and the many people on it sound amazing. I kind of hoped that one day maybe I could do that.

Over 20 years, 2 states away, and 3 churches later, I am now fulfilling that dream I had as a little girl. I don’t run crazy lights all over the stage, there isn’t a huge choir to mix for, and I don’t have all the amazing amounts of equipment that my past church had, but I still feel like that dream is being fulfilled. I mix a song or two every once in a while and make sure that our pastor sounds good over our YouTube channel.

God made a way for this little girls dream to be made real. If he can do that, then I believe there is nothing he can’t do.
