There are two types of wisdom – the world’s and God’s.

The world offers so many types of “wisdom,” as they call it. This degree or this study, and even being “street” wise. It seems education is at our fingertips. With just a few clicks of the keys, we can have pages of answers. (Although not all of them are correct.) A person can a Ph D., B.A, or a M.A. and many other letters behind their name. There is more information in the world today ,and with the internet, we have access to just about all of the “answers” to any question we could ever think of. But do we?

Yes, we have information given to us by the world…it is at our fingertips, literally.

BUT do we really have wisdom?

These eight verses tell us that when we love His Word and take time to read, study, meditate, and apply it to our daily life, we TRULY have WISDOM. God’s Word gives us all of the instructions we need to live wisely. I am not saying we should neglect education, but we need to look at it through the light of God’s Word. When you do, you will know right from wrong, and you will “refrain” or “depart” from sinful ways of the world.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Will you allow God’s Word to be a priority in your life, take time to study it, and apply it?

Which wisdom will you choose?
