What are you thinking about today?

We spend so much time in our thoughts, but too often we don’t think about what we are thinking about. I know that sounds weird and maybe a little crazy, but it is something that God mentions in his word.

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

We are supposed to know what thoughts we are thinking and to stop any that go against the Lord. What we think about will eventually come out of our mouths and be shown in our character. That is why we need to make sure what we are filling our minds with and spending our time thinking about is focused on God honoring things.
