Dear Hostess,

Hey girly. I want to tell you a little about my mom today.

My mom is a wonderful lady that absolutely loves having people over to the house for fellowship and fun. From the very beginning, I remember a constant flow of people coming in and out of my house. Anyone from older couples in our church to the crazy college kids who were constantly looking for a home-cooked meal.

But that was her ministry. She loved giving of herself in hospitality. She always said, “My home is your home. If you make a mess, clean it up. If you find something you’d like to eat, go ahead and prepare it. But always make yourself at home.”

That was her and still is. We love having people fellowship in our house, allowing us to be a blessing to them.

About a year ago, I for the first time was able to follow in my mother’s footsteps, by having a tea party in my home. I hung twinkle lights and cooked all morning for the wonderful ladies from my church to enjoy. It was amazing.

You don’t have to wait, to have special dinners with a guy that may end up being your future husband. Get out your special dishes now and create opportunities to share them with other women or girls in your church. Hospitality isn’t just for them, but it is a wonderful bless to you as well. Seeing people enjoy your home and friendship encourages them and opens up doors of friendship that may never have been available before.

Even if you don’t have a huge home, invite a friend or two over, to share a simply dinner with. The gift of hospitality may be yours to grab today. Don’t miss it.

                                                                                Goodbye for now,

                                                                                Tami
