This weekend, I had the privilege to sit behind a row of kids at a hockey game. It was a time that many would expect to be filled with a lot of annoyances, but it was actually very pleasant. We even had a few of the kids interact with us which made the game really fun.

These kids were simply a wonderful group of boys. They were sitting in a group of seats that were right on the ice, which were usually partly filled by season ticket holders. So when the season ticketers came, they all readily got up to move back up to there original seats. Luckily, they were allowed to stay in the seats on the ice. Then it happened again, but again they didn’t complain and quickly stood up to move. And again they were allowed to stay in those seats.

It was wonderful seeing these kids have the willing spirits to do as they were asked. It made me think about my own life and when God asks me to do things. Am I willing to get up with a willing spirit and do it even when it means it may not be exactly what I want? I want to be like these boys in the future.
