At age 34, Aaron Wolfe, had worked several years as a headmaster in Florida, but then return to New York to work as a Pastor. He stowed all his worldly possessions aboard a ship headed for New York. He then took a cheaper overland route for himself. After two weeks, Aaron arrived at the shipping office to collect his crates only to be informed that on the day the ship was to sail, a storm struck it with lightning and the main cargo – turpentine- had ignited and instantly the ship and all its contents were destroyed. His personal library, sermon notes, and other resources needed to be a pastor had been lost. The news was devastating. However, God used the loss to lead Reverend Wolfe to a ministry working with youth.

Four years earlier Aaron Wolfe pend these words, unaware that he would experience the loss of all of possessions.

Complete in Thee! No work of mine

May take, dear Lord, the place of thine,

Thy blood hath pardon bought for me,

And I am now Complete in Thee.

Complete in Thee no mor shall sin;

Thy grace hath conquer’d reign within;

Thy voice shall bid the tempter flee;

I ask no more, Complete in Thee.

Complete in thee – Each want supplied,

And no good thing to me denies;

Since Thou my portion, Lord, wilt be,

I ask no more, complete in Thee.

Dear Savior! When before Thy bar

All tribes and tongues assembled are;

Among Thy Chosen will I be,

At Thy right hand Complete in Thee.
