Look at that little hand. I imagine that little hand belongs to a young boy and that big hand is his father. What is he thinking right now? Is he hoping to be picked up? Is he happy? Is dad his favorite person in the world? It could be anything really.
Whatever that young boy is thinking, I am sure that father is also thinking. “How am I going to raise up my son the way God wants me to?” “Am I a good enough man to show him what God has done for me?” “How could God have given me such a huge responsibility, especially because I am not a perfect man?” “I want to do right by my son because I love him so much.” “God, help me to teach my son in the way he should go, so that he can learn to love you, too.”
So, much can be said without any verbal words being spoken between a father and son. What are you thinking about when you look at your children?
