Instead of taking a picture, just enjoy the meal.
I see this so often at restaurants today. A couple or group of friends order their food, but before anyone digs in, they all take out their phones and snap away. Then they put down their phones, usually with a rather unsatisfied look and start to dig into their food.
What if they had simply started eating when the food arrived? Well, it may have been still warm, because let’s be honest one photo is never enough.
How is it that we, the entire world, have gotten to a point that we can’t enjoy the simple pleasures in life without having to prove to the world that we have a life? In truth, that picture will be scrolled past numerous times without a second look, but that’s ok because “at least if they want to know, they can see that I am living my best life.”
I challenge you today, to simply dig into your food when you would normally take out your phone and share a snapshot with the world. The world will still be there and you may actually enjoy your meal to the fullest.
